Dopo tre anni di insegnamento nelle scuole di Italiano per stranieri di Milano, e avendo una passione da tanti anni per il mondo arabo ed in particolare quello egiziano, mi è venuta l’idea di approfondire la realtà dei migranti egiziani a Milano. Ho voluto cercare di coglierne un aspetto particolare: quello degli usi, delle abitudini, delle tradizioni. Nessuno, da qualunque paese provenga, non ne ha; e sono sicuramente retaggio the social, cultural, geographical area where he lives or has lived. Migrants from everything changes: you go to another country with a culture, customs, a different climate. Faced with this new reality as the Egyptian migrants are placed? Life in Italy and Egypt is the same or different? After a shorter or longer stay in Italy you feel changed or not? What one misses, compared to their country of origin?
