Tanti altri know and have helped us for this job: Ziggy, a political refugee Eritrean, Egyptian Tarek and Patty who is from Kenya.
Their testimonies lead us to think about what it means to live as 'extra' and how, in our country, we have come to tolerate lager, calling centers for identification and expulsion (CIE): places of mandatory detention, often by violence, where prisoners are also immigrants who have committed no crime except to be entered Italy illegally.
fact, today, in Italy, an alien who has worked here for years, which is the parent of children attending our schools, which has built an honest life, can be stopped and, if not managed to renew the residence permit may, waiting to be repatriated, be imprisoned for up to six months in a CIE
In our reading we propose, the stories of Fashion and Kacem, the testimony of the guests / inmates ICE of Ponte Galeria Rome, accompanied by projected images of life in the CIE
It 's true that to be' masters in our house 'we are willing to accept them centers / concentration camps that arise around the corner of the street where we live?
It is said that for our security we must think of our individual survival by applying the principle of 'every man for himself and to hell with the others' forgetting the suffering of our history migration, human rights, Christian charity and solidarity.
Nobody has a solution ready. Together can look
